On July 11th River Walk paid tribute to W.E.B Du Bois with readings from Du Bois’ work , musical offerings and a walking tour of sites in Great Barrington important in Du Bois’ life.

The July 11th date was chosen to mark the anniversary of the first Niagara Conference Movement which led to the founding of the NAACP.

NAACP Berkshires President Dennis Powell and Vice President Leah Reed contributed to the program.
