The Women of Color Giving Circle, Rights of Passage and Empowerment (R.O.P.E.), and the NAACP, Berkshire County Branch, invite the community to gather for a Kwanzaa Community Celebration on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at The Common Room at Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First Street, Pittsfield.

The uplifting evening will honor Kwanzaa through reflection, culture, and community connection.

This year’s theme

“Practicing the Seven Principles in Dimly Lit Times: Lifting Up the Light,
Hurrying the Dawn,” 

 encourages collective hope and action grounded in the values of Kwanzaa.

The program will feature a panel discussion on Kujichagulia (self-determination), cultural performances, and light refreshments.

The panel will include local leaders and community voices:

The celebration will also showcase a rich lineup of performances, including:

Youth Alive STEP, Dance & Drumline

Pittsfield Community Gospel Choir

special guest appearance by Wanda Houston
