Ramapo College of N.J. has launched for Our Spring Break 2020 (March 13, 2020 to March 22, 2020), a NEW 2 Credit Travel Abroad to Ghana course option that is open to the wider public. Curious Travelers, Educators, Outside Students, Retirees, Parents and others are encouraged to join our Ramapo Students going to Ghana. This Travel Abroad course will be led by Dr. Karl Johnson an experienced scholar and traveler to West Africa, and hosted and run inside Ghana by experienced guides from our sister University in Ghana (KNUST: Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology).
The Flight will leave from JFK airport in NYC. Ramapo College has a great amount of experience with travel to Ghana, and will help guide you efficiently through the Visa/Passport process with pre-departure and on-site campus orientations and meetings, while giving you background information on the nation.
Please join us in helping to celebrate: The Year of Return in Ghana welcoming back the African Diaspora to the Motherland: Marking the 400th year anniversary of Africans who were enslaved and brought to build America. You will visit not only the coastal capital and cities, Accra & Cape Coast where the slave castles are, but will travel into the interior to visit the legendary homeland of the Ashanti (Kumasi) were the “REAL” Kente cloth is woven by hand.

To participate you must first enroll as a Ramapo student and register for the 2 credit travel course TITLED: INTL 130: Global Field Experience: GHANA: Culture, History and the Arts, which can be done online.
