BERKSHIRE COUNTY CELEBRATES ELECTION OF NEW PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT The Berkshire Democratic Brigades, Berkshire County’s official countywide Democratic organization, hosts an Election Celebration rally this Sunday, November 8th, from 3pm to 4pm in Pittsfield’s new Westside Waterway Park. Confirmed speakers include Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer, State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier, Berkshire County District Attorney Andrea Harrington, and Shirley Edgerton of the Women of Color Giving Circle, with others to be announced. The Westside Riverway Park is located at 181 Dewey Street in central Pittsfield. Nearby parking is plentiful and free. The rally is co-sponsored by the Berkshire County branch of the NAACP, Greylock Together and Indivisible Pittsfield. The event provides a social distanced opportunity for Berkshire County residents to celebrate voting, democracy, and the election of a new president and vice president, as well as the re-election of Democrats up and down the slate, including Senator Ed Markey, Congressman Richie Neal, State Senator Adam Hinds, and , and State Representatives Tricia Farley-Bouvier, Paul Mark, Smitty Pignatelli and John Barrett. DJ Oli Real will be spinning tunes. Masks are required, along with social distancing.
