| We are excited to announce the project selected by the community for the AARP Community Challenge grant application titled “Growing Legends”. If selected for funding, the “Growing Legends” initiative will install an accessible community demonstration garden on Southern Avenue to host community events, workshops, and tutorials, and up to 30 small residential gardens to create a communal garden “corridor” for all ages. A variety of plants will be grown, and all community members will have a gathering space to learn more about gardening and to try out new skills. |
Members of our Branch Housing Committee and Climate and Environmental Justice Committee are participating in this initiative hosted by the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission.
