NEAC Family,

Ivis Batista has opened up an opportunity for NEAC to participate in a COVID-19 vaccine project to make vaccinations available for Massachusetts residents from age 16 and older.  The project, known as the Red Sox Week at the Hynes, was designed particularly for our most at risk populations.

Peace and Good Health,

Juan M. Cofield, President, NAACP-New England Area Conference, Member, NAACP Board Of Directors

NEAC has been working to encourage all people to get the vaccinations for COVID-19 when they become available. Part of the advocacy has been to seek the equitable distribution and availability of the vaccines to our most at risk populations, which include people of color. Progress is being made in this effort and I m very pleased to announce NEAC’s participation in an outreach program known as Red Sox Week at the Hynes.

You’re Invited! Stop procrastinating and get vaccinated at Red Sox Week at the Hynes. April 19th –April 21st . We are making a special effort to reach the most at risk populations and other people of color. All Massachusetts residents ages 16 and older are eligible.

Red Sox Week at the Hynes is dedicated to creating a positive vaccination experience that celebrates and honors our diverse cultures across the Commonwealth. Red Sox Week at the Hynes will include bi-lingual Spanish-speaking staff and volunteers as well as added Spanish signage to help direct guests through the site.

With your help, we can raise awareness about the COVID-19 vaccine and Strike Out COVID-19!

We ask that you spread the word, within NAACP Branches, within your communities, and among your friends and families. Get the word out by phone, text or email. Some issues have been experienced through the use of social media, so do not use it to get the message out.
