The Four Freedoms Coalition and Berkshire Community College present a day of free non-partisan workshops on how to:

– write a letter to the editor
– run for office (or help someone else to)
– call your legislator
– advocate on the local, state and national levels
– use social media effectively
– canvass door-to-door
– have a conversation across the political divide
– understand cultural competence and how it can make you a better advocate… in a 2-hour workshop!

Please register for only one workshop per person per time slot. You may register yourself plus one guest for each workshop, space permitting.

Presenters include Congressman Richard Neal, State Senator Adam Hinds, State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier, Pittsfield Mayor Linda M. Tyer, Pittsfield City Councilors Donna Todd Rivers and John Krol, community activist and diversity coach Shirley Edgerton, social media consultant Robin Catalano, Liz Recko-Morrison and Eleanore Velez of Berkshire Community College, attorney and former State Senate candidate Andrea Harrington, Alisa Costa of Berkshire Bridges Working Cities, former congressional aide Richard T. Delmasto, political campaign organizer Kristen Elechko, and Berkshire Brigades members Lee Harrison, Sherwood Guernsey and Frank Farkas.

Mark your calendars and plan to stay for an hour or the whole day. All workshops will be held on the Berkshire Community College campus in Pittsfield, which is fully accessible.

Lunch is available with advance purchase during the registration process. To order a lunch, please complete your registration by noon on Friday, March 31st. Lunch includes a sandwich, chips, cookies, and iced tea/coffee. You will be able to indicate your sandwich selection (turkey, ham, tuna or hummus) and request a gluten-free lunch on the checkout page. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own lunches.
