Berkshire Seed Library Hosts Pumpkin Carving Spooktacular
The Berkshire Seed Library, a program hosted by the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s Public Library, will host a free family-friendly pumpkin carving Halloween party Saturday October 26, 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
Please join us in the Auditorium starting at 10:00AM for a day of pumpkin carving! The Library will provide the pumpkins, carving tools and decorating supplies; all you have to bring is your imagination! Face-painting, mask-making, a story walk, and fall refreshments will also be available. The Berkshire Seed Library will have containers available for pumpkin seeds to be brought home for roasting or saving for next season!
“This is the third year we’ve done this free event,” says Samuel Reggio, Outreach Librarian, “and it’s always a blast. We want to provide access to this fun activity for all Pittsfield families, and it’s such a great opportunity for kids to get their hands dirty.”
Costumes encouraged!
This event is free and open to everyone thanks to the support of The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum. Pumpkins cannot be reserved; please only one pumpkin per youth. No registration required. Youths under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Berkshire Seed Library is sponsored by the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum. The pumpkins are from Taft Farms in Great Barrington.
