Saturday LGBTQ Movie Matinee: Boy Erased
Rainbow Seniors will be hosting our monthly Saturday LGBTQ Movie Matinee’s on the 4th Saturday of every month in the meeting room of the Lee Library on 100 Main Street in Lee, MA 01238. This month our film is Boy Erased. The film will screen from Noon to 2 pm. Films will be played via the projection screen available at the library (yes folks, movie theater style). Open to adults of all generations. Fresh popcorn and beverages included.
Boy Erased is a 2018 American biographical drama film based on Garrard Conley’s 2016 memoir of the same name. It is written for the screen and directed by Joel Edgerton, who also produced with Kerry Kohansky Roberts and Steve Golin. The film stars Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, and Edgerton, and follows the son of Baptist parents who is forced to take part in a gay conversion therapy program.
